Position Overview

Role Overview

  1. You will mainly sell software AI tools and services in GBS – Engineering and Apps. This includes Data, AI, and new AI tools.
  2. You should know all parts of business development. This means finding new customers and closing deals well.
  3. You will work with sales teams from different departments. This means you will talk to important company leaders. These include IT heads, tech leaders, and department heads in engineering.
  4. You should know the local market well. You should also bring your contacts and business network to this job.

Business Development Manager AI Sales Key Responsibilities

  1. First, you will be part of the sales team for GBS business.
  2. Second, you will handle both direct and leveraged sales for GBS.
  3. You will find new customers, check if they are good fits, and offer them solutions. You will also talk prices and close deals.
  4. Fourth, you must build credible and lasting relationships with prospects and customers. This ensures repeat business opportunities.
  5. Finally, you will collaborate with other BU sales teams, including Account Managers and BDMs. This collaboration helps cross-sell Generative AI offerings into existing accounts or new opportunities.

Key Tasks and Duties

  1. First, you must deliver sales revenue (recognized and collected) as per your assigned quarterly quota.
  2. Second, you must maintain contact and opportunity information. This should be done completely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  3. Third, you need to prospect actively to establish new accounts. Alternatively, you can extend business in existing accounts.
  4. Moreover, attend and represent various business and industry meetings and trade shows.
  5. Additionally, have a comprehensive channel strategy/multipoint lead generation.
  6. Furthermore, work with Alliance Partner’s field team to create relationships and generate leads
  7. Also, use all available networks and partnerships to find more sales opportunities.
  8. Finally, set customer expectations that align with Happiest Minds service offerings and delivery potential.

Performance Goals

  1. MUST meet and/or exceed quarterly targets set. 
  2. Accurately forecast business deals to be closed. 
  3. Leverage other Business Unit BDMs to achieve the targets. 
  4. Delivering new business that encompasses all service offerings. 

Candidate profile:  

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with about 15 years of experience in selling business software and IT services across different industries.
  2. Ability to understand, articulate & effectively position the Value proposition of the Solutions & Services and having experience selling AI services 
  3. Strong track record in acquiring new customer logos. 
  4. Must be comfortable working with executive management as well as articulating strategy, solutions, and services. 
  5. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Additionally, ability to understand complex business and technical issues. Furthermore, you must use this knowledge to solve problems and execute action plans effectively.
  6. Knowledge of market trends, industry participants, new technologies & business models at least in 1-3 verticals 
  7. Should have a track record of building and executing successful sales strategies.

We require someone with over 18–20 years of total sales hunter professional experience. Specifically, you need 6+ years in AI/engineering-focused roles. Core Expertise:

  1. Strong knowledge of AI applications and AI-powered solutions. Additionally, experience in how these tools help companies improve their business processes.
  2. Deep experience in driving sales of digital and AI-driven products, focusing on solution selling, value-based selling, and building strategic client relationships.
  3. Skilled in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities (“hunter” profile) with a strong ability to open and grow AI-focused enterprise accounts.

Sales & Business Development:

  1. Demonstrated success in digital sales and AI-focused sales, targeting both existing and greenfield enterprise clients.
  2. Ability to articulate the value proposition of AI technologies, especially Generative AI, to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  3. Comfortable managing complex sales cycles with high-value deal sizes, involving multi-stakeholder decision-making.
