India’s flexi staffing industry has continued its upward trajectory, recording a 9.7% year-on-year growth in FY25, according to the latest Indian Staffing Federation (ISF) annual report. Despite global uncertainties, trade disruptions, and a cautious hiring environment in the last quarter, the sector managed to add 1.39 lakh new formal flexi workers, taking the total workforce employed by ISF member companies to 1.8 million as of March 2025.
🔹 General flexi staffing witnessed a 9.8% growth in net new employment during FY25, though Q4 saw a marginal dip of 2.6% due to seasonal slowdown and global headwinds.
🔹 Key contributors to this growth included FMCG, retail, e-commerce, logistics, energy, and manufacturing sectors.
🔹 IT staffing showed encouraging signs of recovery, growing by 7.8% year-on-year and 2.3% in Q4. This momentum was driven by rising demand from Global Competence Centres (GCCs), digital transformation, cybersecurity initiatives, and adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
Industry leaders within ISF highlighted that staffing continues to play a vital role in generating structured employment opportunities, particularly for freshers and first-time job seekers. They also pointed out that budget utilization and project closures toward the end of the financial year further fuel demand for skilled professionals.
The ISF report reinforces the importance of staffing as a strategic workforce solution, helping organizations stay agile while creating sustainable employment opportunities across industries. At Recruiter Wings, we support this growth by offering staffing solutions and recruitment services that help companies stay competitive while enabling professionals to access structured career opportunities.
