Azure DevOps Engineer Key Responsibilities

As our Azure DevOps Build/Release Engineer, you will:

Technical Implementation

  • Have at least two years of relevant experience
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Project Management teams
  • Define and execute projects that implement build, release, and deploy processes for Dynamics 365 ERP & CE applications
  • Furthermore, draw environment requirements for development, code branching, and testing activities

DevOps Management

  • Manage source code control systems with VSTS and GIT
  • Additionally, demonstrate proficiency with branching strategies
  • Coordinate and conduct release cycles with developers, PMs, and clients
  • Also, manage code promotion to Test, UAT, and Production environments

Azure Platform Expertise

  • Understand Agile methodologies and lead project configurations in Azure DevOps
  • Specifically, work with Dynamics 365 Finance(F&O) and Customer Engagement (CE) solutions
  • Enable Build & Release CI/CD pipelines for code repositories
  • Moreover, automate package deployments on Dynamics 365 ERP and CRM applications

Infrastructure & Database Management

  • Provision environments for development, build, and testing activities
  • Additionally, maintain regular database backups and manage database operations
  • Use SSMS for database backup and restore operations
  • Also, assist with Go-Live activities to deploy UAT readiness code and release notes

Azure Services Experience

  • Azure Artifacts – Create, host, and share packages with your team
  • Azure Boards – Plan, track, and discuss work across teams
  • Azure DevOps – Provide services for teams to share code, track work, and ship software
  • Azure Monitor – Deliver full observability into applications, infrastructure, and network
  • Azure Pipelines – Continuously build, test, and deploy to any platform and cloud
  • Azure Repos – Provide unlimited, cloud-hosted private Git repos
  • DevOps Integrations – Use your favorite DevOps tools with Azure

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills would be beneficial:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics business applications
  • Azure DevOps Certification AZ-400
  • Furthermore, ability to identify automation opportunities to support CI/CD goals
  • Experience with Azure ARM templates, Logic apps, Azure functions, API management, and Power platform & Power BI
